Preaching five Sundays about SEX?
You heard me correctly. Our Pastor, Pat Hood is preaching a five week sermon series on Pure Sex. Today was the first sermon, titled "The Greatest Sex is Pure Sex."
Now I don't know about you, but I have not heard of many churches that have leadership who are so bold to preach on this topic. If you really think about it, sex and sexuality are the undertones to our society. Our lives are made or broken around sexual relationships, both healthy and abusive.
Pat's sermon today was so relevant. It echoed part of the reason that I have been so excited about the For His Eyes Only sessions. I believe that sex and sexuality between a husband and a wife is beautiful. It was created by God for our enjoyment, and He delights in us when we are sharing our love with our husband or wife in this way. I have so enjoyed photographing these women, because they are honoring their husbands with a gift ONLY for him, that will bring him great joy. That makes it fun for them and fun for me too!
